Ansley McBryde is a self-taught, unique artist who is not bound by tradition. Her subject matter often takes an unconventional approach to dogs, fish and cats. She works primarily in acrylics on stretched canvas or fiberboard.

Raised in Baton Rouge, Ansley has a Bachelors degree in criminology and a Masters degree in special education from Louisiana State University.

She has spent the last 7 years working with special education students in south Louisiana and Reading, England. She works with high school age, at-risk kids, many of whom suffer from behavior and learning disabilities.  She currently resides in Gonzales, Louisiana.
